On May 28th,  my band and I were honored to perform at the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Survivors' Dinner in Basking Ridge. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of  the American Cancer Society.

Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.

I'd like to thank Ralph Petti, Co-Chairperson of the Relay For Life event, for his kind words - "Thank you again for sharing and bringing your upbeat swingin' show of popular jazz
&  "C Ella brating" Hope with the cancer survivors and caregivers during the Relay for
Life of Somerset Hills annual dinner.  Your performance made the dinner magical for all the cancer survivors.  It has been a real honor to work with you and your band.  We cannot thank you enough for your contribution of time and resources to our event."

It was our honor, Ralph.

Great weather and lots of sailboats at the Keyport annual Americana Festival of Sails and Oyster/Seafood Feast  on July 5th.  My jazz trio, Cool Blue Central, and I had a prime spot overlooking the scenic Keyport Harbor and a turnout of over 12,500 people.  A really fun day, thanks to Allen Consulting, the Keyport Business Alliance, and all those jazz-loving festival-goers.
