Exciting show at the Walter Edge
Theater at Atlantic Cape
Community College on February 15th. The Audience
was filled with students both college & high school -- all music
lovers and very enthusiastic. For a while I left the
stage to more closely interact with them. Their response was
very gratifying - they asked specific questions about
the music (my quartet was performing one of our tribute
shows to the Ladies of Swing and included the great
Duke Ellington and his performances with Ella Fitzgerald).
Many of them were music students and we talked about
techniques, style, the music itself and the performers.
These are the generations that will keep this music alive! "Your performance was awesome. We can't thank you enough for entertaining the students from our college and our community High Schools. The interaction with the audience was truly informative and exciting. " Aline Bennett & Lisa Givens, Student Development at Atlantic Cape Community College |
